Acceptable Use Policy

Masked exists to protect your privacy for lawful, everyday use. This policy explains what the service may and may not be used for. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

The spirit of it

Masked helps you keep your real number, inbox, and identity to yourself. That's a legitimate thing to want. It is not a tool for deceiving real people, evading accountability, or breaking the law – and using it that way is not allowed.

Don't use Masked to

• Commit fraud, scams, phishing, or financial crime of any kind.
• Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or impersonate any person or organisation.
• Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, or create accounts in bulk in violation of another service's terms.
• Defeat identity verification (KYC), age verification, or sanctions and anti-money-laundering controls where you are legally required to complete them.
• Access, distribute, or facilitate child sexual abuse material, terrorism, or other content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
• Infringe intellectual-property rights or misappropriate someone else's data.
• Do anything else unlawful in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction of the number, inbox, or service involved.

Tool-specific notes

• Virtual numbers & Temp Mail are shared, temporary infrastructure for one-time verification. Don't rely on them for long-term identity, legal notices, or recovering access to accounts you can't otherwise reach.
• Fake ID produces fabricated test data for development, QA, and privacy-conscious sign-ups. Don't present a generated identity as a real person, or use it to pass identity checks you are legally required to complete.
• Breach Check is for checking credentials you use. Don't use it to probe or target accounts that aren't yours.

Enforcement

We may limit, suspend, or refuse service, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities, where we reasonably believe this policy or the law is being broken. Because Masked collects so little, the best protection against misuse is simply not to do it.
